Yamaha WR250F

The smaller brother of the WR450F, the WR250F is a 249cc liquid-cooled four-stroke bike. Like the 450, the WR250F has many properties of a YZ, but the capabilities and accessories needed for enduro racing. An aluminum frame and sub-frame, exhaust system, forgings, castings and extrusions make this trail bike very light compared to other models.

A digital CDI ignition system gives a more precise spark, as well as monitors the engine speed, ensuring the best possible timing for a great acceleration response. A 37mm Keihin FCR flat-slide carburetor with a throttle position sensor gives ultra-precise fuel/air mixing and maximum throttle response. Low and mid-range powers are maximized by WR-designed camshafts, carburetion, intake ports, and exhaust, while the top-end power is increased by a wide-ratio five-speed transmission and a multi-plate clutch.

Like the WR450F, the WR250F has a digital enduro computer with a speedometer, trip-meter, clock, timer, and average speed. An aluminum ProTaper handlebar in a forged triple clamp decreases weight while increasing comfort. A thick seat and wide footpegs will also make you more comfortable on long rides.
